Environmental Services
The Development Department provides numerous services to the Oberon community. The department is staffed by the following:
- Director of Development
- Manager of Health and Building
- Senior Development Control Officer
- Health and Building Surveyor
- 2 Clerical Support Staff
- 2 Part-time Animal Control Officers
- Livestock Control Officer
- Swimming Pool staff
Both the Director of Development and the Senior Development Control Officer are qualified Health and Building Surveyors with the Director also having Town Planning qualifications. The Council also uses contractors to provide many services such as the garbage service, building maintenance and cleaning services.
